Welcome

Holiday lets Suffolk to slow down in, not just sleep in.

Some places you book. Others you settle into. These are the holiday lets Suffolk gives up slowly — the kind of stay where the kettle's always within reach, the beds are properly made, and the view does most of the talking.

Every home is looked after by the same person who answers the phone. When you book directly, you're dealing with Ruth from the first message to the morning you leave — the people behind the property, not a platform in between. It's a calmer, more personal way to arrange a stay, and it's how our guests keep coming back.

A day in our holiday lets Suffolk
7:30 am

Coffee on the deck, mist on the lake.

Wake slowly. The kettle's on, the water is glass-still, and the only decision on the agenda is how long to sit out before breakfast. This is the quiet you booked for.

1:00 pm

An hour to the Suffolk coast.

Fish and chips at Aldeburgh, the pier at Southwold, the long prom at Felixstowe. The whole Heritage Coast is a short, pretty drive — out for the afternoon, home well before dark.

9:00 pm

The hot tub, the stars, the quiet.

No traffic, no neighbours, no rush. Just steam rising off the water and a sky you can't see from the city. Mornings like this are why guests book the same week next year.

Holiday lets Suffolk — four corners to explore.

Our holiday lets Suffolk sit across the areas guests love most: the coast, the countryside, the waterfront town, and the Heritage Coast villages near Aldeburgh.

i.

Ipswich

Suffolk's county town, rebuilt around a marina of restaurants and bars. Two bright flats near the waterfront and town centre, plus Castle Rock with its hot tub and garden. London is 72 minutes by direct train.

ii.

Stonham Barns Park

Deep in the countryside, our Lakeside Luxury Lodge and Fern Lodge look out over the water, both with private hot tubs. Cafés, an owl sanctuary and fishing lakes sit on the same park.

iii.

Felixstowe

Our seaside home is five minutes from one of the longest proms on the Suffolk coast — beach huts, clifftop gardens, and fish and chips with your feet on the sand.

iv.

Leiston & the Heritage Coast

The Leiston house sleeps seven — our largest home, and the perfect base for Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings, Thorpeness and Southwold, all a short drive away.

Seven properties, each chosen for comfort, character and location.

A direct line to me

No chatbots, no call centres. Message or call, and I answer within the hour.

A short guide to holiday lets Suffolk, from someone who lives here.

Suffolk doesn't shout. It's not the Lakes and it's not Cornwall, and it isn't trying to be. A quiet coastline of shingle beaches and nature reserves, market towns that still feel like market towns, and skies that stretch further than you'd expect — it rewards anyone willing to slow down and look.

For visitors weighing up holiday lets Suffolk has available, the appeal is range. Wake to waves at Felixstowe, walk Aldeburgh's pebble beach by lunchtime, catch a concert at Snape Maltings in the evening, and still be back on a lakeside deck by nightfall. The whole county fits inside an hour.

The coast

The Suffolk Heritage Coast runs from Felixstowe to Lowestoft. Aldeburgh, with its fresh fish and the Scallop sculpture; Southwold, with the brewery, the pier and the pastel beach huts; Orford, with one of the best-preserved Norman castles in England. Our Felixstowe home and the Leiston house reach all of it with ease.

Ipswich and the waterfront

Ipswich has rebuilt itself around the water — a marina of restaurants and bars on what was once a working dock. Add Christchurch Park, a gallery with Constable and Gainsborough on the walls, and a growing food scene. Three of our homes sit in or near town, a short walk from the station and London in 72 minutes.

The countryside

Central Suffolk is farmland — quiet lanes, timber villages, huge skies. Stonham Barns Park, home to two of our lakeside lodges, sits right in the middle. Framlingham, Woodbridge and Lavenham, one of England's most beautiful medieval villages, are all a short drive.

Who our holiday lets Suffolk suit

Families who want space without hotel prices. Couples after a hot-tub weekend. Professionals on placements near Ipswich, Felixstowe or Sizewell who'd rather have a kitchen than a mini-bar. Groups of friends taking a long weekend. Self-catering suits all of them, because the days are yours to shape.
